Should driveways be pressure washed prior to sealing?

When sealing concrete, you should always pressure wash to make sure the surface is as clean as possible.

Asphalt should only be pressure washed in areas where there is really bad algae, moss growth or severely dirty driveways where use of wire brooms will not clean it all off. Pressure washing of asphalt requires extreme care as too much pressure can cause oils to be stripped out of the asphalt which will accelerate the deterioration of your asphalt.
