How often should you get your asphalt rejuvenated and concrete sealed?
July 30, 2024
For longevity purposes it is only needed every 3-5 years for asphalt to keep the oils constantly rejuvenated within the top layer of asphalt thus preventing oxidation related cracking, however if you want your driveway to always have a fresh black look appeal factor to always be present every 2 years is recommended.
For concrete it is recommended to use a higher solids sealer (30%) and reapply every 2-3 years depending on traffic. If you desire having the fresh seal look every year you can use a lower solids sealer for yearly maintenance. If yearly maintenance is what you desire it is important to only use a lower solids sealer otherwise the sealer will build up too many layers eventually causing bonding issues that will lead to problems such as flaking and whiting out.
